Lucky the Leperchaun

Drew was determined that we needed to make a trap and try to catch "Lucky the Leprechaun".  So Friday night before heading to bed we created our great trap to see if we could catch him.  We had a wire basket propped up on the paper towel holder and inside we had a juice box and some yummy Swiss cake rolls to try to entice him in.  We also had the police transformer standing by so he could help keep him contained if we caught him.  This was all Drew's idea and he was SO excited to say the least.  So after doing all are set up we headed to bed and we couldn't wait until morning to see what we would find.  Of course Saturday morning came earlier than normal because two little kiddos were quite excited and ready to see how good they did.  Well, to their disappointment they didn't catch Lucky but he did leave some evidence that he was actually here.  He left green foot prints on the counter, the basket had dropped, the juice box had been drank, and the Swiss cakes rolls were a mess.  He also made a mess out of the paper towels - that crazy Lucky.  He also as you can see in the pics had to stop for a quick bathroom break on his way out the door but once again he made a mess - he peed green in the potty, left footprints on the seat and made a mess with the toilet paper.  Their favorite thing he did was leave them a little prize.  That made them both a little happier since they didn't catch him.  He left Drew a little green Lego set and  Blakely a Polly Pocket.  This was a lot of fun and they were so excited about it.  They were convinced that he was somewhere in our house and they looked and looked and looked until we had to leave for Drew's baseball game.  So innocent!
