Stomach Bug Strikes!

Poor Blakely

Poor Drew

Everyone at the Twin’s preschool, Seeds of Faith, and at church, First Presbyterian, have been talking about and posting on Facebook about being sick. They have either had a stomach bug or strep. It is has been crazy! Well, I got strep over the snow/ice storm and Mom got it last week but I thought we were going to be spared by the stomach bug but oh was I wrong! Drew got up from nap today throwing up and it has been downhill ever since. He has thrown up no less than at least 8 times and it is only 9:45 pm – and he didn’t get up from nap until around 5 pm! This might be a long night. Let’s just hope and pray Blakely doesn’t get it (or me and Phillip)! I’ll keep you updated. Goodnight!
UPDATE: Well - the stomach bug strikes again! Blakely got sick Monday evening. She wasn't quite as bad as Drew. She only threw up twice - one time was in the kitchen however the second time was in my bed and all over Phillip! I am ready for this to be over. I feel like I have washed and washed and washed until my machine is going to break. Hopefully this is the end!

Blakely ~ Our Little Ballerina!

Blakely is officially taking dance. She is taking at Douglasville School of Dance where I took when I was little. She is loving it. She dances around the house constantly and wants her leotard and ballet shoes on all the time. She is going to have them worn out in no time. Since we started late in the season she didn't get a practice outfit like the other kids - they have ordered her a leotard so she can match the other kids but they can't get her a skirt so they told us where we could get one so that's what we did today and as you can see she LOVES them! I am so excited she is liking it.

My Little Stud Muffin!

Muscles!

Cool Dude!

I'm a boxer kindof guy! :)

Grandma and Papa bought Drew these cute little boxers for Christmas and he loves them. He would wear them everyday if we would let him. They gave him two pair and he loved them so much they had to actually go buy him two more. I think he likes them because they are like daddys and they easier for him to pull up after potty time. He looks just so darn cute in them and tonight he wanted me to take his picture in them so here they are...

My New Favorite!

My new favorite is my Silhouette SD machine that I got for Christmas (Thanks Mom & Dad!). You are probably asking - What is a Silhouette? Well, it is basically like a Circuit but I think MUCH better! It is an electronic cutting tool that connects to your computer allowing you to cut fonts and images in cardstock, vinyl, heat transfer material, etc… It is great! The main thing I like about it is that you don’t have to buy cartridges like you do with other cutting systems on the market. It will cut any font you have on your computer for FREE! It will also cut images you create for FREE and it came with like 60 preloaded images for FREE! You can download additional fonts, images, etc… for about $.50 - $1.99! Once you download it is yours – again as you can see I think it’s GREAT! So far I have only cut out a few things – a bunch of letters for things in my classroom and I have started on Valentine’s for the kiddos class. I will post as soon as I get them done!

Jump Everybody!

Jump Drew!

Go Matthew!

Blakely LOVED it!

Will was to fast to get a pic!

Cousins! :)

Happy MLK Day! Today is our last day off school! :( We have been out of school for 10 days. Since it is our last day off I thought we should do something FUN with the kiddos so we headed to Carnival Zone with Aunt Catherine, Will and Matthew. It was so much fun. Normally Carnival Zone isn’t open on Monday’s so I guess people thought it wouldn’t be open today for the holiday so we were the only people there for a while then in came the Harper’s! We were the only two groups so we had a great time. The kids got to go from one thing to the next and we didn’t have worry about keeping up with them. The nice owner man even gave us free cotton candy and balloons. We had a GREAT time! After we jumped until we couldn’t jump anymore we headed to Chick-fil-a for lunch with everyone else in D’ville! It was SOOOO crowded but the kids loved it. They played on the playground for a little while and then we had to stop by Hobby Lobby (of course!) and then home for a much needed N-A-P! The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins. I am glad they enjoy being with each other - I hope they stay close friends forever.

Go Steelers!

We headed to the lake this weekend to check on it since all the winter weather. While we were there we watched the Steelers game. Drew was so excited! He got to wear his jersey and he acted like he was playing football the entire time. He was so tired by the end of the night. Blakely got to wear her jersey to but as you can see she wasn’t quite as excited as Drew. She loves making crafts so she worked on those during the game! Thanks Holt Family for the jerseys – we have really gotten our use out of them.

Ice Jam 2011

Well – they kept saying on the news that we were going to get snow/ice but we didn’t know it was going to be like this. We woke up Monday morning to about 3+ inches of snow and ice. Ice being the bad part. It was really pretty but not too much fun to play in! Ask Drew about his fall. I also woke up with Strep Throat so it was a good thing we didn’t have school. We spent the day playing inside and eating – lots of eating, snacking! It was nice all being at home playing and resting. In the end, school ended up being closed ALL week. That made for a looooong week!Teachers had to go Thursday and Friday from 11 to 4 but no students so I got a lot of planning done. Thank goodness! Driving was terrible so we stay in for the most part but you know the Lester's we couldn't stay home long so we did head out every afternoon just to see the sights. I hope this isn’t a sign of what is to come!

Blogging...

It seems like everyone is doing it (I sound like one of the high schoolers I teach) so I just had to get on board and I am SO excited. I have read and followed many other blogs over the years but never had a blog of my own so now I think it is time. I am very, very behind on my scrapbooking so I thought this would be a way to keep things in order so that if I do every catch up (ha, ha) then I would have something to go by! I still love scrapbooking but it is SO time consuming and I really like doing little projects better – so we will see what I get done. Anyway – I am so excited about this and I hope this is something that I can keep up with. Happy Blogging!
