Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!  As you can see we are all dressed up and ready for the day.  These kiddos were SO excited about Valentine's Day - you would have thought it was Christmas.  They woke up bright and early and kept asking and asking and asking - "Is today Valentines?"  They were SO excited when I said YES!  They were glad to wear their Valentine's clothes and they were really excited about all their Valentine's goodies at school.  I have a crazy busy Valentine's at school due to the fact that I help run the school store which does lots and lots of order to say the least on Valentine's day so I wasn't able to make it over to their party so Phillip went instead.  (Thanks DAD!)  They were so excited to see him.  When I asked them about it after school Blakely told me "He even kissed us both goodbye!" and Drew said "There were only like 3 parents and one was our Dad!"  So sweet!  Anyway - at the party they ate lots of yummy food (sweets, sweets and more sweets!) and they traded their Valentine's.  When they got to Grammy's after school she let them all dump out their goodies on a towel and check out everything they got.  They were SO excited!  I love little ones when they are so excited - it is just so cute!  We also got the Twins a little something.  We got them some slippers, candy, and Lego people.  They have been asking for slippers forever so they loved them.  Nanny also sent them a card and a box of chocolates and Grandma and Papa sent them a card with money since they are out of town.  Of course the money was to buy legos!  The new fav around our house.  The Westbook's got them Valentine's PEZ and last but not least Grammy had a Valentine's Day party for them after school complete with balloons, red snacks, gifts and all.  They were so happy!  I think Valentine's Day was a success.  As far as Phillip and I go we didn't get to go on our traditional evening out since my "babysitters" are out of town so we settled for a family dinner at Fabino's - fun, fun!  No really - we plan on going out while we are in Hilton Head next week.  Phillip got me new charms for my Pandora bracelet.  I love them - he did a great job picking them out.  I got him the ultimate man gift - a case of beer - and the tag read: "I love you BEERy much!"  He loved it!  Guys are just really hard to buy for when it comes to Valentine's Day.  It is really more a girl holiday.

You ROCK!

Here is a pic of Blakely's valentine's for her class.  She was really excited to bring these to school and share these with her friends.  Maybe not as excited as Drew but after making all those robots I had to go with something a little easier for her.  Sorry - B!  I think she will like it once she gives it a try!

I like you a BOT!

Here are Drew's class valentine's!  He was SOOOOO excited to bring them to school and share them with his friends.  Thank you to Pinterest for another GREAT idea!

I {HEART} Y M!

As you can see we all LOVE Yogli Mogil!  It is a new yogurt place in D'ville that has like 12 or so flavors and lots of toppings.  It is so good and recently they just got peach and we love it!  We visit quite frequently. :)

Sunday Silly's!

These 4 cuties just crack me up! As most of you know we eat with Phillip's family on Sunday evenings. One of our favorite places to go is Cracker Barrel and the kiddos love these rockers. Aren't they cute???

Sad

Last week we got sad news that my Grandmother a.k.a. Nana had passed away. This was my Dad's mother. She was 87 years old and full of life. I mean she passed away while at a bar listening to a band - what a life! My parents where out of town in Hilton Head when we got the news so they had to pack up and head home to get clothes and make plans about when to leave. We were sad to hear the news but it was great to get to see my parents has they had already been at the beach for two weeks. After lots of phone calls we decided to leave on Wednesday and drive up to Pennsylvania. I rode with my parents and Quinn and her fam drove as well. Phillip and the kids would have loved to come but with such short notice it just made it hard so Phillip stayed home with the kiddos and played Mr. Mom and he did a great job. It was a sad and happy trip all in one. It was sad because this will probably be the last time most of the these people are together especially in Butler but it was also happy because it was nice to see everyone and catch up. I know my Dad enjoyed that part. Lots of people came out to the viewings and the funeral and that would have made my Nana proud. Also it was happy because lots of people/family got to meet the newest addition to our family - Miss Maya! She was a really trouper. She was a little under the weather but she was on her best behavior the whole time. It was nice to have her there with us. It was also nice to get to visit with my Mom's side of the family. It was so nice of them to do everything for us that they did. I know my Dad really appreciates it. My Aunt Sandy and Uncle Fred allowed us to stay at their house and bought sandwiches for after the funeral and my cousins, Jodi and Jill, bought food for us as well as food for after the funeral. This was so nice of them especially since it isn't even their family. They are the most thoughtful people. Thank you all for everything. After the emotionally draining few days we headed back to GA and our 12 hour drive - fun, fun! Then my parents had to pack up and head back to Hilton Head - Oh poor things! We will miss them but we will see them soon.

YES!

The other day the Twins got a package in the mail and when they opened it there were two boxes that said "Will you be my...?" and then when they opened the boxes shirts and lots and lots of flowers came out!!! The boxes were from my cousin Kelsey who is getting married in May in Pennsylvania. She asked the Twins to be in her wedding - Drew to be the Ring Bearer and Blakely and Maya to be the Flower Girls. They are so excited and I can't even tell you! Kelsey also put some Princess and Cars card games in the boxes - so sweet! So of course we will do it. We can't wait. Thank you so much Kelsey for asking the Twins and making them part of your special day. See you soon!

Happy Birthday Phil!

Today we celebrated Phil's 38th birthday by going out to eat at the Little Hawaiian in Carrollton. This restaurant is my new FAV! I love it! If you haven't tried it I highly suggest it. After dinner we headed back to Grammy and Pa's house for cake and cards. Happy Birthday Uncle Phil - I hope you had a great one!
