Yummy!

Tonight we celebrated the holiday season with our Share Group.  We had a great time and thank you to the McDonald family for hosting.  One fun thing we did was each person was to bring a dessert so each couple brought two items and then we divided them all out and at the end of the night you got to bring home an assortment of different desserts.  It was really neat and a great idea.  I have already tried a few of the items and they are Oh So YUMMY!  I knew most people would probably bring things mainly for grown ups so I decided to make something I knew the kids would like since everyone in the group has kids.  I made marshmallow pops - where you just put marshmallows on a lollipop stick then dip them in chocolate and decorate with sprinkles.  So easy but so cute and the kids LOVE them.  I also made Oreo pops and you basically do the same thing with them.  They can be a little bit more tricky because the cookies break but overall really easy and the kids and adults love these too.  It was a fun evening! 



Share Group & St. Mountain

Tonight we headed to St. Mountain with our Share Group from church. We met at the church at 4pm and then we caravaned to the Mountain! Once we got there and got all set up we ate.  We had chicken and then everyone brought sides and dessert. That worked out perfect. After we ate the kids played and played and played - we chatted and really just enjoyed the evening. This is such a good group with such a cute group of kids. They are all so cute and are really good with each other. Finally it was time for the lasershow the kids were so excited. Amy Spiva brought glow necklaces and I brought glow bracelets so that made it even more fun for them. I mean what would be a lasershow with no glow! All the kids (and adults) seems to really enjoy the show. We had a couple of littles that weren't too fond of the loud fireworks but overall I think everyone had a GREAT time! I know our family did. Can't wait to do it again.

Share Group @ Lake Wedowee

We spent this weekend at the lake. On Friday night the Spiva's came and spent the night. We got in late so we didn't get to see Rex. The kiddos were really disappointed but Saturday they made up for it. Saturday our Share Group got together over at the Simmons' house. We had a great time. We stayed out on the lake from about 10:30am to 8:00pm. It was so much fun! We rode the boat, the float, the jet ski, etc...We swam and of course we ate. All the kids had so much fun. There were no major melt downs so we did good. Thanks Simmons' Family!
