At the Lake!

We had another great weekend at the lake. Drew was supposed to have a baseball game Saturday morning but it was cancelled due to some electrical problem - crazy! Anyway - as soon as we found out the game was cancelled we got ready and headed over to Alabama. We first went to Oxford to do a little shopping and to get some lunch then we headed over to Wedowee. Once we got to Wedowee the Twins were in need of a NAP! So they napped and I worked on cutting out a dress for Blakely. I am determined I am going to learn to sew. Anyway - later that afternoon the Westbrook's came. Once they got there we had a great time. We headed out for a boat ride which was lots of fun. All the kids really seemed to enjoy it. Once we got back we played with the toss across, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, etc... while Phillip grilled us up some dinner. After dinner we had a bonfire but the little ones didn't make it to long and off to bed they went. We stayed up and enjoyed the fire, the weather, conversation, music, roasting marshmallows, and of course some adult beverages! The Westbrook's had to leave to go home early Sunday AM because they were going to the Braves game but we hung out until late Sunday afternoon before we headed home. It is just so relaxing over at the lake!

Life as a Lakie!

Saturday we decided to head over to the lake. Joyce one of our neighbors had called us and told us we had a little damage to some of the siding on our house due to the recent storms. So we headed over there today to fix it up. It was a GREAT day! The weather was perfect. Phillip and Dad got the siding fixed while Mom and I entertained the kids. After they got it all fixed up we headed down to the marina for some lunch and a little playground time. After our bellies were full we took a boat ride - our favorite part! Again, the weather was just perfect for this. We could just slowly roam around the lake with out sweating to death. I love this time of year.

At the Lake

As you have already read we have a really busy March so this weekend we decided to head to the lake after Drew's baseball game for some relaxation. We had a GREAT time and the weather was PERFECT! It was in the low 80's. We took a nice long boat ride and the kids loved it! After the boat ride we just hung out at the house and let the kids blow bubbles, sidewalk chalk, etc... They really enjoy going over their - Blakely especially! She ask about going ALL the time. She says she loves going over their "because my Daddy is SO funny when we are their!" Not sure what that means - maybe a few too many adult beverages for Daddy - ha ha!! Anyway, they were so excited when we got to spend the night their last night. We grilled out and even had a bon fire. It was a perfect day! Today we just relaxed and then we headed over to Oxford to do a little shopping before heading home to get ready for the next crazy week.
