Phillip's Finished Product!

For Valentine's Phillip bought me a class at Sips 'n Strokes! Sips 'n Strokes is a place that lets you bring in your favorite beverage (and food) and paint a picture with an instructor. The instructor shows you step-by-step how to create a great masterpiece that you get to take home at the end of the evening. It was so much fun! Our class was from 7pm - 10pm but they have shorter classes and day classes as well. The classes range in price from about $20 - $35. It is a great concept and so much fun. You don't have to have an artistic bone in your body to do this. They really do show you step-by-step! I would definitely recommend it - I can't wait to go back. Thanks Phillip! :)

Happy 31st Birthday Quinn!

Happy 31st Birthday Quinn! Quinn's birthday is this coming weekend - the 27th but since she was off work today and we were out of school we celebrated today. We planned a little surprise for her. If you don't already know - Quinn LOVES her birthday! She normally counts down and reminds you numerous times that her birthday is coming up. So this little surprise was right up her alley. We met this morning at 10am at Mom's house and we loaded up and headed out...first stop was lunch at Souper Jenny's. If you haven't ever eaten their I highly recommend it. Great little quaint place. They have what is called the $12 lunch which includes your choice of two items: soup, salad, or sandwich, cookie, bread, piece of fresh fruit, and a drink. Everyday they have 5 different soups and two different salads and sandwiches. Everything is homemade and wonderful! It opens at 11am but you better get in line at about 10:45 - the line is out the door but they move quickly. After lunch we shopped around a little until it was time for her big surprise... an appointment at Intimacy at Phipps. I don't think she had a clue. I think she was excited but not at all what she expected. At Intimacy they do professional bra fittings. It is wonderful but quite pricey. So having someone else pay makes it great! Quinn - I hope you had a great birthday and I hope it was an "uplifting" experience!

Happy 3rd Birthday Matthew!

Trying to get a picture of three is quite difficult but aren't they cute!

Happy Birthday Matthew! Today we celebrated Matthew's 3rd Birthday with him. We had a great time. The birthday party was at his house and it was a - can you guess? A Baseball Themed Party! Matthew's favorite thing! They also had a jumpy thing that all the kids loved! Matthew is a such a sweet kid and he loves his cousins (and they love him so much). It is such a pleasure each year to celebrate his birthday after all the complications with his birth. Happy Birthday Matthew - we hope you had a GREAT one! :)

Campfire

On Friday while we were at Wal-mart we saw those JUMBO Campfire Marshmallows and the kids wanted them so bad so we got them and Saturday night we made steak sandwiches and had a campfire! It was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed playing outside - riding bikes and big wheels, playing baseball, jumping on the trampoline, etc. We even got the Jeep out and Blakely loved it! We had a great time. Mom, Dad, Quinn, Jeff, Wyatt, and Weston came over for the fun. Can't wait to do it again...

Preschool Prowlers

Today was Drew's 1st baseball practice and he LOVED it! Actually, he cried when it was time to leave and kept yelling over and over and over again - "Don't want to leave!" It was too cute. There are 11 boys and 1 girl on the team. They are all so cute. Drew didn't quite understand that a girl could be on his team and he kept saying loudly - "No girls play baseball!" It was kind of embarrassing. The name of the team is going to be the Preschool Prowlers. I think that is just perfect. Today they broke up into groups and worked on catching, throwing, hitting and running. We got to meet the coach and the two assistants. I think he is going to love it! Oh! and as we were leaving Blakely said, "Drew, I am so, so, so, so, so proud of you. You did such a good job!" It was so sweet and she honestly meant it. I love those kiddos! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Blakely & Drew -

I hope your Valentine's Day is great.
I hope it is quite a treat.
I hope you have a happy day
Filled with things so sweet.

This poem's for you because I care.
I can't get more specific.
Well, yes I can, and here I go...
I think you two are terrific!

Happy Valentine's - Love, Mom
