Party Time!

Friday was the BIG party day and the kids were just a little excited to say the least.  They have been in gymnastics camp all week which was good for me because it allowed me to get a lot done.  On Friday they went to gymnastics camp and then I had to pick them up early because we had to head to their 5 year old check up at the doctors office - fun, fun!  Although it actually didn't end up being that bad because at the 5 year check up you don't have to get a shot.  The doctor thought they were doing great - growing and thriving.  After the doctor we had to do some running around for the party and then it was time to head home to get ready.  We finished everything up got dressed and they couldn't wait for everyone to arrive.  Once people started arriving their was no settling them down.  The party was a success.  It was if you can't tell from the pictures a Lego themed party.  Drew is obsessed with Lego so it was a prefect theme for this year.  I had different stations set up in the house like a drawing station where the kids (and parents) got to design their own Lego guy, I had a building station, a station where they got to make a race car and then race it, a station where the girls got to make Lego jewelry, etc...  We also played a few games like Pass the Brick, Lego Bingo, I Spy the Lego Guy, etc...  We had a great time and we are very thankful for everyone that came and made this such a special day for them.  I think in the end we counted and we had over 50 people here.  Of course that always means a good time.  They got way, way to many presents and they are still opening and playing with them.  Again - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  I didn't get to many pictures during the party - sorry!

5 Years Old!

Happy Birthday Blakely and Drew!  Today is their BIG day - they are now 5 years old!!!  They are so excited.  I would have to say this is the first birthday that they have been really, really excited.  So today we thought we had to do something special for their special day since we weren't having their actually birthday party until Friday so we headed bowling and then for some yummy Yogli Mogli (Thanks Papa!).  They had so much fun bowling.  Earlier this summer I had bought a Groupon for like $20 and it included bowling for 2 hours for up to 5 people.  It included shoes as well as a large one topping pizza and a pitcher of drinks.  So it was a deal and they really enjoyed it.  Grandma, Papa, Quinn, Maya, Me, Phillip, Blakely and Drew went.  It was a fun time.  Quinn brought them balloons and lollipops and Phillip brought some cupcakes so they were thrilled.  We all bowled except Papa (Poor Papa - if you didn't hear he had to have a pacemaker put in last week and it is not allowed to do any lifting.  I know he hates all this social computer stuff so I let him tell you about it.)  We all did pretty good but I am sure it was due to the bumper that helped us out.  Even Miss Maya tried her hand at it and did pretty well.  After our bowling was over we headed for some frozen yogurt and it was wonderful.  Now if I just keep them contained until their birthday party Friday.  Until then...
