A Day at the Farm!

Last Sunday we headed to Southern Belle Farm in McDonough with the Edison Family, Westbrook Family and Grammy.  We had a wonderful time.  It was the first weekend they were open so the crowd was very light which made it wonderful.  It was also teacher appreciation weekend - so we got in free!  The kids could do everything they wanted and could do things over and over again if they wanted.  We took full advantage of everything.  We started the day off with a ride on the cow train.  The kids enjoyed this and they couldn't believe even the parents were going to ride.  After the cow train we headed straight for the jumpy pillow which they all enjoy but it wears them out quickly.  After they got their share of that we headed over to play on the horses.  Some of those horses got a little wild and crazy.  They need to train them better! :)  Following the horses we headed over to the corn house where the kids got to play in corn.  Sounds crazy but it is probably one of their favorite things.  We have to bargain with them to get them out of there each year and when they finally get out they have corn every where and I mean EVERY WHERE!  After picking out all the corn they headed straight for the slide which they probably did 100 times - up and down and up and down and up and down.  Oh to have their energy!  Once they final got their feel of the slide we headed to the hay ride.  That was fun and relaxing.  After the hay ride we headed to the corn maze.  They had 3 different mazes within one - an easy, medium and hard.  We opted for the medium.  The worker guy told us it would take between 15 - 40 minutes but I think we might have beat the record!  Not the fastest record but the slowest record!  No, not really it was fun.  After all the maze fun we headed over to the corn shooters where you get to shoot corn through this air gun thing.  Of course they ALL loved that.  After we had all the corn sprayed on us we could handle we stopped for quick snack and drink and then we went to check out the animals and the infamous pig race.  The pig race is the cutest thing ever - we just love it.  To end the day on the farm we headed over to the flower field where you can pick a bouquet of flowers.  They are soooo pretty!  As you can see we had a great day at the farm.  Can't wait to do it again next year.  After leaving the farm we headed to Buckner's for dinner - yum, yum!!!  It was a great day.
