The Funky Paintbrush

This is what our painting is supposed to turn out like - we will see!!!

Here we go - a blank canvas...

Paint...

And paper towels...

Okay - we got the first step done!  Not to bad and we did all that with a paper towel.

You're doing good Quinn!

We are getting there...

Quinn's final product!

My final product!

Mom's final product!

Last Friday night Quinn, Mom and I headed to The Funky Paintbrush to do a little painting.   I gave this to them for Christmas and we are just finally get around to use it.  We were all a little nervous and didn't quite know what to expect but we were ready to have fun and give it a try.  I had done a painting before with Phillip but Mom and Quinn had never done this before.  What made us more nervous was when we got there before we got started the teacher guy told us we were going to be doing this whole painting using just paper towels - what?!?  But with snacks in hand we gave it a try.  It was a three hour class that took lots and lots of paper towels but we actually did have a lot of fun.  It was a fun and interested process because I canNOT paint but this made it so much easier.  They teach you what to do in steps and if you follow along they all pretty much turn out looking pretty good.  I was quite impressed with our abilities.  You can see in the picture of all three of us the originals in the background and I think ours look pretty good  - check it out!
