Showing off the New Camera!

Today after school we headed over to Grandma's to show off my new camera before we headed to karate.  Of course we had to take a couple pictures so here they are...

Have I told you how much I am loving this new camera.  I still haven't had much time to work with it but I can't wait!

Scrub a Dub Dub!

These kiddos LOVE bath time!  We used to get a bath in Blakely's bathroom but some time ago we started letting them get a bath in our "big bath" as they say and they love it.  They could stay in there forever and honestly I like it to because they do stay in there forever.  They play and play and play and it is so funny just to sit back and listen to what they have to say.  They can be so funny!  Of course, most of the time they stay in so long that someone has to get out to go potty - that's why the picture of the Drew on the potty!  I'm sure some day when he gets older he will love me for these pictures.  Aren't they sweet!?!  I hope they stay so sweet and close like this forever.  I love these kiddos!

New Camera!!!

I got a new camera for Christmas, I got a new camera for Christmas, I got a new camera for Christmas!!!  Can you tell I am REALLY excited!  I have always wanted a nice, "fancy" camera and now I am finally the owner of one.  I got a new Canon DSLR and it is wonderful.  Now - I really don't know tooooo much about it yet but I can't wait to learn.  I think it will be a lot of fun.  Right now I have just been playing and I think I have taken a picture of everything in my house.  As I already said I can't wait to learn more about!  Thank you Mom and Dad - I LOVE it! So above are a few of my first pictures - I think for just turning it on a shooting they turned out pretty good.  Can't wait to see what else this thing will do!  I'm SO excited!  I have a feeling my kids are going to get sick of me taking pictures.

Happy 93rd Birthday!

Today we celebrated Nanny's 93rd Birthday!  Yes, you read that right - 93 years old!  Can you believe that!?!  Crazy!  I can't imagine living to 93 but she did it and does it well.  Nanny is the sweet person.  She is always so sweet and caring.  She always makes sure that she has something nice to say whether it be - I like your dress, I like your hair, your kids are so good, you dress them so cute, whatever - she always makes sure she says something nice to make you feel good.  She also loves the kids SO much.  You can just see her sit there and watch them with a smile on her face.  You can just tell by watching her that she just loves being there with them and watching them all so happy and healthy.  She really is a special person and I am so grateful that my children have gotten to know her.  I mean how many children get to know there great-grandmother especially when she is 93 years old.  She loves them dearly and they really love her as well.  If we haven't seen her in a while they ask about her.  Blakely knows that Nanny likes shoes so if she ever gets new shoes she can't wait to show Nanny!  She always says as we are buying them - "I think Nanny will like these!"  So sweet!  Drew also cares very much for her.  He doesn't often show his emotions around her - rather he acts kind of shy around her but when we are away from her he speaks of her often.  He always wants to know what she is doing?, is she at home?, what is she eating? can we go to her house?, etc... He always tells us if we pass her house on our daily travels around town and when she was in the hospital -- he was REALLY concerned and asked and asked about her.  He was very upset about his Nanny being sick and when she would come home.  If you ask them about her they will talk and talk so if you have a minute ask them about their Nanny and you will love what you hear!  Happy Birthday Nanny!  We love you!

Happy New Years!

Today after sleeping in (Thanks Grandma & Papa) we headed over to lunch at Grandma and Papa's house!  It was SOOO yummy.  Of course we had the usual Northern New Year's dinner - Pork, Sauerkraut, Mash potatoes, etc....  It was soooo good!  After all the yummy food we headed home for a much needed nap.  After napping for a while we headed over to celebrate New Year's with Phillip's side of the family.  This year we celebrated over at Aunt Catherine and Uncle Phil's house.  Here we had the usual Southern New Year's dinner - Pork, Greens, Black-eyed peas, etc...It was really good too!   The kiddos had a really good time playing with there cousins but we are FULL now so we are heading home to rest! :)

New Year's Eve

Tonight Grandma and Papa agreed to watch ALL 3 kiddos so we could head to dinner for New Year's Eve! We are so grateful. It has turned into a tradition for Phillip and I to head to Dante's every New Year's. We LOVE Dante's but it is a little pricy so we only get to go about once a year. If you have never been I highly suggest it. It is fun and entertaining and the food is GREAT! This year we went with Quinn and Jim and we had a great time. Phillip was also glad that they drove - ha ha! The kids had a great time too - they got to bang pots and pans which they love to do! Thanks Grandma and Papa - see you tomorrow - I hope you get some sleep!
