More Christmas Fun...

After a morning full of food, presents and fun we took a much, much needed nap and then got up and headed to Grammy and Pa's house for Christmas with Phillip's side of the family.  The kids couldn't wait to go.  They were so excited.  Of course the kids (and Phillip and I) got tons of presents and we really love them all.  Thank you Grammy, Pa and the Westbrook's.  The kids really enjoyed playing with each other.  They wanted to open every box but of course we couldn't let them or we would be missing all the pieces.  They played and played and just enjoyed being kids while the adults talked, ate and just enjoying visiting with each other.  It was a great day.  We did miss having Nanny with us this holiday but I know she was in everyone thoughts as we sat there and opened our presents.  I am sure she was smiling all day.  It was a good day and we are very blessed to have such wonderful people in our life as well as our children's lives.

Christmas Morning

The BIG day is finally here!!!  The kids couldn't wait.  Mom and Dad came over at 8am to watch the kids open their presents the only problem was that the kids were still asleep.  We had to wake them up - crazy!!!  I totally thought they would have been up way, way early.  I think they were tooo tired from all their Christmas Eve fun.  Once they got up they got to unwrapping and they loved it.  They were unwrapping as fast as they could.  They got everything they wanted and they were so grateful and happy.  It was so sweet and so special to watch.  There sweet little faces all innocent and full of joy and excitement is just priceless.  I love it.  I would have to say Drew's favorite was probably his guitar.  He loves it and plays it constantly.  It is so cute to watch him.  He is like a little rock star.  Blakely I am not sure she loves everything - the cardboard house, the Lollaloopsie, the Easy Bake Oven, ??? I don't know she goes from one thing to the next and just is so excited about them all.  After all the present excitement Papa made us a yummmmmmy breakfast.  Thanks Papa!  It was a great morning but I am worn out and ready for nap.

It's Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas Eve - It's Christmas Eve - It's Christmas Eve and the excitement is in the air at my house.  The kiddos are so excited.  They have asked about Santa, presents, Christmas, etc... over a 100 times.  I don't think this day is ever going to end.  I love it though.  I love their childhood innocence's and excitement.  It makes it all worth it.  They are just so sweet.  For Christmas Eve we go to the Lester's for dinner.  We had a nice dinner and the children had a great time playing with each other while the adults enjoyed "adult" talk.  Before the night was over Grammy and Pa always allow the kids to open one present.  I am not sure they get it yet but as you can see from the pics it is PJs.  Every year they act surprised!  Too funny!!!  She also has started in the past couple of years getting them a book with a matching stuff animal.  The kids really love this.  Here we are on in to the new year and they are still sleeping with those animals.  Finally after all the excitement we headed home to get ready for bed so Santa would come.  You know he doesn't come if you are still awake.  Before we could head to bed we had to spread our special reindeer food so the reindeer would have a little snack while Santa did all his work.  After that straight to bed....tomorrow is the big day!
