Legoland

What a GREAT day!  THANK YOU so much Grandma and Papa for the tickets we had a GREAT time.  If you don't already know Drew is ALL into Legos.  I don't really know where this new addiction came from but he is crazy about them.  It is really cute.  He loves all the different kits they have to offer.  He of course loves all the different series.  He loves the City Series, Super Hero Series, Dino Series (even though we don't have any of these yet), Cars 2 Series, and of course if you haven't heard his favorite is the Ninjago Series.  He also loves all of the different minifigures.  He wants to collect them all - OH WOW - can't wait!!!  Anyway since he is totally in love with Lego's we knew the new Legoland was going to be perfect for him so we just couldn't wait to go.  We went this past Sunday and it was awesome.  I read all the reviews I could find on the Internet and they weren't to good so I was a little skeptical but I would have to say for a 4 year old little guy that loves Lego's it was perfect.  I would say those much younger or much older it probably would not be the best but again for I would say the 3-6 age range it was great.  I would also say it was more for boys, just one little section geared to the new girl Lego's.  They start you off with a room that shows you how Lego's are made following that they lead you to a ride where you get to shoot guns so of course Drew loved that his two favorite things - guns and Lego's - he was one happy boy.  After that ride they take you to miniland where they have built all kinds of Atlanta buildings out of Lego's.  This was really a neat area especially for the parents.  The kids I am not so sure because they don't really know what all the buildings are nor can they really appreciate all the time that went into creating those.  However with that said I would say Drew actually liked it.  He was really studying each thing.  I think he could have stayed in their a little longer but with his impatient sister he really didn't get the chance.  After this room they lead you to a big open room that is full of other activities for the kiddos.  It has a ride, a place to build a race car and race it, a play area, building stations, etc. and then last but not least they have a 4D theater and Drew thought that was super.  Following the theater we headed to the gift shop and to lunch because we were so hungry and worn out.  As for the gift shop it wasn't that great and my crazy kids picked out a little $5 minifigure set and Blakely a $2 notebook.  Not that I am complaining but that was crazy.  I had forewarned Phillip we are probably going to have to get each one of the kids a kit and they will probably be kind of expense so be prepared and then they are happy with $7 gifts.  Yeah kiddos!!!  It was a great day.  I loved seeing Drew's little eyes as he was taking it all in.  It was so cute to just watch him study and look at everything and Blakely was so proud and excited for him.  She kept saying "Drew did you see that?  Look Drew your favorite?" It was so sweet! They are such cuties.  Well we better go get building...
